Introductory post

I am going on a new journey; stick along for the ride.

Upon the first read of the blog title ‘Can you SEE me?’ you are probably thinking, no of course I cannot. Because you’re in front of a device right now when reading this, you are not in front of me. But truly, this isn’t a question that I am asking you, rather it is a question that I would like you to ask me. As I write this I am on a journey, that I believe will truly take a lifetime if I do it right, to SEE people. And, no, I do not just mean that I am going to travel the world and knock on every door and have a chat with every single person (although, for those who know me, you know that this is something that I would love to do). But rather this word, SEE, is an acronym. For me, to SEE means to serve, educate and empower. To truly see you past your outward exterior, I believe that I must strive to do all three with everything in me, lest I do not do you justice. And that is what this platform is all about. Through a variety of mediums, this is my core aim. I aim to SEE you. I will use the power of storytelling to break down ideas, dissect thought processes, and share my perspective. Because, my love, the pen is mightier than the sword. Words give meaning to the thoughts and emotions that we feel inside but are either too afraid or too busy to articulate. Therefore, this is a place where we slow down, breathe, and re-align our hearts and our minds. So, welcome, you can rest here.

I believe that we are all searching for ‘something’. And I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I do desire to help you piece together something of substance. And hopefully, maybe, even if it does not go to the ends of the earth, through these writings I would like to change a world, not the world, but just one. Even as I believe in a God who left the ninety-nine for the one, I also firmly believe that each piece I write is supposed to touch one person, and I am writing with this in mind. I am sending a message through the world wide web, personally to that individual. So, hey, if that’s you, welcome. And if it’s not, that’s okay. But, do me a favor, and share this with just one person you know. You never know, maybe they could be that one.
